Blossom is an open-source platform for user-crafted human-robot interaction developed by Cornell University’s Human-Robot Collaboration and Companionship Lab and Google Creative Technologies Singapore. Blossom’s actuation mechanism, a compliant tensile structure supporting a free-floating platform, enables organic and lifelike movements with a small number of motors and simple software control. A soft, handcrafted exterior and interchangeable appendages give Blossom a customizable appearance to fit the needs of the user.
